5 years agoThe Chicago White Sox are promoting top pitching prospect Dylan Cease to start the first game of the team's doubleheader against the Tigers on Wednesday. It appears that this won't just be a spot start and he'll remain in the rotation moving forward. After dominating at Double-A in 2018, the results haven't been as satisfying at the Triple-A level this year, but he has still struck out 73 batters over 68.1 innings of work. Cease has struggled with command throughout his minor league tenure so the gratifying results may not come immediately, but his stuff is as good as any pitching prospect.
