5 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta is absent from the lineup in Sunday's finale against Madison Bumgarner and the San Francisco Giants. Ketel Marte will shift to the outfield while Ildemaro Vargas will take over at the keystone. Peralta is getting a routine day of rest, which comes at a good time against a tough left-hander, and he is having a strong season overall. He's batting .287 with nine homers and 44 RBI but has failed to hit a long ball since June 10 putting him on a 17-game homerless drought. Expecting Peralta to repeat his 30-homer season from 2018 is difficult to imagine, but he will remain contributing a terrific batting average and supporting counting numbers as a part of the potent D'backs offense.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
