Kenta Maeda Struggles At Coors Field On Sunday
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Kenta Maeda allowed two earned runs, three hits and two walks with five strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision Sunday in Colorado. He needed 88 pitches, throwing 56 for strikes, and he had first-pitch strikes to just nine of the 18 batters he faced. The Dodgers slipped behind 4-3 after five innings, but the offense posted six runs in the top of the sixth as Dylan Floro posted the relief win. Maeda will look to get back on track on Saturday evening at home against the San Diego Padres. He is 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA with a .140 opponent batting average in two starts against the Padres this season.
