Brett Connolly Heads To Florida On Four-Year Deal
5 years agoThe Florida Panthers signed unrestricted free-agent right wing Brett Connolly (Capitals) to a four-year contract worth $13 million. The Panthers add a little offense to go along with their addition at goaltender. Connolly parlayed his best offensive season of 22 goals and 46 points with a plus-13 rating into a lucrative deal in state tax-free Florida. He should be a top-six forward, and he'll have plenty of offensive weapons around him like Sasha Barkov, Mike Hoffman, Jonathan Huberdeau and Vincent Trocheck, etc. Don't look for any type of backslide here. He has a chance to even exceed those 46 points in his first year in Sunrise.
