5 years agoSan Diego Padres catcher Francisco Mejia is back in the lineup Monday and batting sixth as the team squares off against Jeff Samardzija and the San Francisco Giants. The 23-year-old took a pitch off of his forearm Saturday forcing him from that contest and sat out Sunday as well as a precaution. Mejia has caught fire since his return to the big leagues going 7-for-23 in eight games with a pair of round-trippers. He's received nearly all the starts since his call-up and should be scooped up in two-catcher formats at the very least. The ceiling remains high for the former top prospect, and with the additional playing time, he may become valuable in single-catcher mixed leagues soon enough.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
