Adam Frazier Collects Four Hits
5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates second baseman Adam Frazier went 4-for-4 with three runs and three RBI against the Cubs Tuesday night. The highlight of the night was a three-run homer in the fourth inning after a lengthy rain delay. Frazier batted leadoff again after going 5-for-6 with four doubles Monday night and is likely to stay batting leadoff if he keeps producing like this. Frazier is sporting a career-best 12 percent strikeout rate while upping his line drive rate from 19.6 percent last year up to a robust 27.1 percent rate this season. He should be a great source of batting average and runs if he continues to leadoff which would make him a sneaky add in 12-team leagues and deeper. The Pirates are scheduled to finish the first half facing four righties in five games so Frazier could have a couple more big games during this hot streak.
