5 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo (lat) was diagnosed with a grade two lat strain, there is no timetable for his return. The team says this injury is unrelated to the muscle strain he suffered in March that has kept Luzardo from pitching in the Majors so far this season. Luzardo, who entered the season as the number seven prospect according to Baseball America, was on track to make his MLB debut just after the All-Star break, but will now have to wait even longer to join the A's. Luzardo should still be owned in all keeper and dynasty formats, but the uncertainty with his latest injury is simply too much to keep stashing him in the majority of redraft leagues.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
