Bryan Reynolds (OF, PIT) - Week 15 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues

OWNED IN: 34% of leagues

ANALYSIS: It's easy to be skeptical of Bryan Reynolds. A second-round pick by the Giants back in 2016, he was never highly regarded as a prospect and didn't even reach Double-A until last season, despite being rather old for A-ball. He's also sporting a ridiculous .426 BABIP at the moment, which is obviously unsustainable. Still, the 24-year-old has done nothing but hit since he was drafted, never logging a batting average below .302.

Injuries to Corey Dickerson and Gregory Polanco allowed Reynolds to stake his claim on a starting job in the Pirates' outfield, and he's risen to the occasion with a .338/.403/.521 line and six home runs in 64 games. He hits the ball hard and runs well, so while a BABIP correction is in the offing, Statcast still pegs him as a .300 hitter based on his batted ball data. With Polanco back on the shelf again and ythe Pirates likely to be sellers at the trade deadline, Reynolds should have no playing time concerns moving forward.
