5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jake Arrieta struggled again Saturday, allowing five earned runs and 11 hits in just 4 1/3 innings pitched. Arrieta has now allowed at least five earned runs in five of his last seven starts with a 6.15 ERA since the end of May. On the season, Arrieta is giving up hard contact at a 38 percent rate and his strikeout rate is the lowest of his career at 18.1 percent. At this point, Arietta is probably best left on waivers in most standard sized mixed leagues.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
