5 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor (rest) will skip his final start before the All-Star break on Sunday. Minor, a first-time All-Star, has already been replaced on the AL squad by Shane Bieber of the Indians and will not pitch in the All-Star game Tuesday. Minor is tied for third in the AL with 117 innings pitched with a 2.54 ERA so some rest may do him some good to carry his late-career breakout into the second half. Texas called up left-hander Joe Palumbo from Triple-A to start vs the Twins Sunday. Palumbo has decent numbers in Triple-A, but is not a viable option in most leagues vs a Twins offense that leads baseball in team wOBA vs left-handed pitching.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
