James Conner Confident In Similar Workload
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner rushed for 973 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2018, but a late season ankle injury allowed for the emergence of Jaylen Samuels. The Steelers then drafted Kentucky product Benny Snell in the fourth round, who could also take some carries away from Conner. However, the third-year Pitt product is preparing for a similar workload to the one he had last season. The dual-threat back averaged 16.5 attempts and 4.2 receptions per game last season; although, the ankle injury caused him to miss three games and be limited in the season finale. Despite Samuels and Snell lurking for touches, Conner has proven he can be one of the few three-down backs in the league when he's on the field. If he stays healthy all year, his ADP of 13.8 in PPR formats should provide excellent value.
