Eduardo Rodriguez Deals In Win Over Dodgers
5 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez struck out 10 over seven innings of five-hit, one-run ball in Friday's 8-1 victory over the Dodgers. The southpaw kept opposing hitters off balance all night with his changeup, generating 11 of his 22 swings and misses with the pitch. The only run he allowed was a solo shot in the second inning, but he went on to retire 17 of the next 21 hitters he faced. Rodriguez continues to be better at home, posting a 3.95 ERA, .235 average against and a 63/17 K/BB in 54 2/3 innings, compared to a 4.91 ERA, .288 BAA and a 53/17 K/BB in 55 innings on the road. Luckily, he'll be back in Fenway for his next outing on Wednesday when the Sox face the Blue Jays, where the 26-year-old should have another solid fantasy day.
