6 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons hit his fifth home run of the season as the Angels took down the division-leading Astros 9-6 Monday night. Simmons hit a solo shot in the third inning as the Angels would go on to erase an early 3-0 deficit. Simmons came into the game slashing .300/.328/.492 at home this season and delivered on a night when teammate Mike Trout sat with a calf injury. The Angels are hot right now and Simmons is hitting .281 in the month of July with four runs batted in over his last four games played.--Joey C - RotoBaller
