5 years agoLeavine Family Racing driver Matt DiBenedetto turned in a best speed of 135.990 mph in qualifying on Friday, and he will go off from the seventh position in Sunday's Foxwoods Resort Casino 301. The qualifying session obviously went pretty well, but he hasn't fared well over the years at the Magic Mile. In seven career Cup starts at NHMS he has never finished higher than 28th, posting an Average-Finish Position of 30.43. It might be best to avoid DiBenedetto on Sunday, as he could be in for a hard tumble based on his overall body of work at the New England flat track.--Daniel Dobish
