Anthony DeSclafani Excellent In Loss On Sunday
5 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Anthony DeSclafani was excellent in a 3-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. DeSclafani allowed just one earned run over six innings while racking up 11 strikeouts. He wound up taking the loss as his offense was unable to provide much in the way of run support. DeSclafani has been trending up of late, having allowed just six earned runs over his past four starts. Overall, the 29-year-old has a 5-5 record, 4.12 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 105 strikeouts in 98 1/3 innings of work. He will look to keep it going in his next start, which comes against the Colorado Rockies at home.
