5 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez got it together on the right day. Facing a frightening Yankees lineup on Sunday, Marquez was coming off an 11-run shellacking by the Giants, and this looked like it could have been a disaster. Instead, he held the Bronx Bombers in check for the most part, only allowing a pair of solo home runs over seven innings of work. Marquez picked up his ninth win of the season, and he only allowed five baserunners to reach all day. He struck out five, and he lowered his road ERA to just 3.25. His home ERA is 7.07. He's scheduled to pitch in Cincy next, so owners should feel free to roll the dice on him.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
