5 years agoOakland Athletics starter Daniel Mengden allowed four runs on six hits in 3 1/3 innings of work during Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Minnesota Twins. He struck out two batters while walking five. Before the game, Mengden had not allowed a walk in his previous 18 innings. The 26-year-old owns a 5-1 record this season to go along with a bloated 4.65 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 36/21 K/BB rate. Mengden is a valid option in AL-Only formats, but he is tough to roster in standard leagues. He'll look to bounce back in his next projected start against the Texas Rangers.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
