Martin Perez Chased After Four Innings
5 years agoMinnesota Twins left-hander Martin Perez struggled against the New York Yankees on Monday. Perez lasted just four innings, giving up five runs on seven hits while striking out four and walking four. It goes down as a disappointing outing for Perez, who had been trending up over his past few starts. Perez now has an 8-3 record, 4.37 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 93 strikeouts in 105 innings of work. The Yankees do represent a tough challenge for opposing pitchers, so fantasy owners shouldn't bail on him just yet. Perez will face the Chicago White Sox in his next start, so he has a good chance at bouncing back.
