5 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Peter Lambert scared fantasy owners on Tuesday night when they saw the game score, but he escaped relatively unscathed in the blowout loss to the Nationals. Lambert exited after 5 1/3 innings, allowing three earned runs along the way. He struck out eight hitters, but he also allowed nine hits and walked one. Lambert has been mediocre to bad recently, mixing one quality start in with five poor ones. He also doesn't usually strike out many batters, failing to strike out four or more in six straight outings prior to Tuesday's. He'll take on the Reds next, and he probably shouldn't be started unless an owner is pretty desperate.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
