5 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jakob Junis has been placed on the paternity list. His next scheduled start is Friday against the Indians, which may be pushed back. It hasn't been smooth sailing for Junis this year, as he has a downright-ugly 4.83 ERA and 1.39 WHIP through 21 starts this season, but the 26-year-old may have recently found his stride. Junis has compiled a 1.35 ERA and 0.95 WHIP to go along with 23 strikeouts over his last 20 innings. If he can continue to ride this streak, he could be a useful streaming option down the stretch and is worth keeping an eye on.--Joseph Magazzinich
