5 years agoAtlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson was a late scratch from the lineup Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals. There has been no update yet as to whether the scratch was due to any sort of injury, but a day off was sorely needed by the 25-year-old, who hasn't been able to replicate his production from the first half of the season since coming out of the break. Swanson is hitting just .227 with no home runs or RBI since the break, though there is plenty of time for him to turn it around and he should continue to be rostered in shallow and deeper leagues. Johan Camargo gets the start at short and will hit seventh against Brad Keller, but there are much better options available out there, to say the least.--Joseph Magazzinich
