Michael Pineda Holds White Sox To Two Runs
5 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Michael Pineda pitched well in a 6-2 win over the Chicago White Sox on Friday. Pineda held Chicago to two runs over seven innings while striking out five and walking one. The veteran pitcher seems to be getting stronger as the season progresses, posting three wins, 33 strikeouts, a 2.37 ERA, and 1.09 WHIP over his past 30 1/3 innings of work. Overall, Pineda has a 4.30 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 111 innings of work. Pineda is still available in 52% of Yahoo leagues and should be considered as a waiver add for any fantasy squad that needs pitching help.
