Martin Perez Turns In Quality Start, Takes Loss
5 years agoMinnesota Twins left-hander Martin Perez turned in a quality start in a 5-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. Perez allowed three runs over six innings while striking out four and walking one. He wound up taking the loss, dropping his record to 8-4, to go along with a 4.38 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 97 strikeouts in 111 innings of work. Perez has turned himself into a viable fantasy pitcher in his first season with the Twins. He draws a plus matchup against the Kansas City Royals in his next start, which will be on Friday.
