BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 16% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Over the four years and 107 games in which he appeared as a San Diego Padre, 29-year-old outfielder Alex Dickerson was not terrible, but was less than impressive; slashing .250/.321/.459 over 312 plate-appearances, with 10 home runs, 39 RBI, and 40 runs scored. However, since being traded to the San Francisco Giants on June 20, Dickerson has been a revelation over his first 28 games with his new team, slashing .381/.447/.774, with six home runs and a .481 wOBA.
With a .433 BABIP and .298 xBA, Dickerson is not likely to sustain his .381 average for long, but the former bench player's 10.3% barrel-rate, 48.7% hard-hit, and 90.9 mph exit velocity are all career highs, so it can't be denied that Dickerson is hitting the ball better and harder than he ever has before.
Dickerson can contribute in four categories, and with three games in Philadelphia, followed by three in Colorado, this is a good week to bet that regression doesn't yet pull him back down to earth.
