5 years agoArizona shortstop Nick Ahmed capped off a six-run fourth inning for the Diamondbacks on Saturday with a 416-foot grand slam off of Miami Marlins starter Jordan Yamamoto. Yamamoto had set down the first nine Arizona batters in order before the wheels came off in the fourth frame as the rookie walked three batters, hit one more, and had already given up two runs in the inning before Ahmed blew the game open with his tenth home run of the year. Ahmed is now slashing .268/.326/.431 on the year, with all three numbers being career highs.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
