ANALYSIS: 

Murphy has been getting some playing time of late against lefties, and he’s simply massacring the baseball. Over his last eight games, Murphy has 10 hits, three doubles and two home runs. He’s ripping the cover off the ball with a 47% hard contact rate and 21% launch angle. His wOBA against lefties is up to .425 and he’s going to have this platoon until he shows otherwise. In two catcher leagues, Murphy is well worth an add. If you can see two or three lefties in the Mariners future, you’re getting a bat with a ton of upside for very cheap.
