5 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale allowed six runs over 5 1/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the Yankees. Sale scattered five hits, while striking out seven and walking three, but serving up two home runs early haunted the southpaw. He was just a bit off in his 22nd start, as only 56 of his 100 pitches went for strikes. Sale falls to 5-10 on the year, to go with a 4.26 ERA in 129 innings but does have a 189/35 K/BB. The Red Sox ace will get a chance to redeem himself against these Yankees on Saturday, but this time it will be in Yankee Stadium. The 30-year-old is always in the mix for a gem, and with a career 2.73 ERA in the Bronx, Sale's experience could benefit him in a tough matchup.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
