5 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Cole Hamels (oblique) is likely to come off the injured list and start Saturday against the Brewers. The Cubs have not officially announced him as the starter, but Hamels has made two rehab starts in Triple-A and threw a bullpen session Wednesday. While the return of Hamels to the mound is a welcome sight for fantasy owners, it might be best to leave him on the bench for his first start off the IL. Hamels only threw 5 1/3 innings across two rehab starts and will face a tough Brewers lineup Saturday.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
