ANALYSIS: With Shane Greene traded to Atlanta at the deadline, Joe Jimenez is likely to favorite for saves in the Motor City over the balance of 2019. The 24-year-old doesn't have great ratios (4.93 ERA, 1.29 WHIP) but has racked up 59 strikeouts in 42 innings, and his 3.36 SIERA suggests he's pitched better than those surface numbers imply.

Jimenez pitched the ninth on Wednesday, and while the 9-1 score would suggest that isn't terribly meaningful, it was 4-1 before the Tigers put up five runs in the eighth. Trevor Rosenthal pitched the seventh inning, followed by Buck Farmer and then Jimenez. That would seem to indicate the current hierarchy.

Owners in need of saves should grab Jimenez, who has been a popular pickup in the last couple days but remains available in three-quarters of Yahoo leagues.
