BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 15% of leagues
ANALYSIS: San Diego rookie Cal Quantrill has been on fire recently, allowing only one run over his past three starts, going 2-0 with a 0.53 ERA with a favorable matchup at home against the Rockies on the schedule. Quantrill started his big league career off rough, posting a 5.23 ERA over his first six starts but then thrived after being demoted to the bullpen, allowing only one run over his four appearances. Now Quantrill has gotten a second chance at starting and is pitching like he's not going to relinquish his spot again.
While Petco Park is not the pitcher's paradise it once was - with a 2018 Park Factor just above league average - neither is the Rockies lineup once as fearsome as it once was, with an 80 wRC+ that is fourth-worst in baseball since June 1. They've been even worse on the road, with a .642 OPS and 67 wRC+ that are both worst in the league since then. The way he's pitched since returning to the starting rotation makes Quantrill not only a streamable starter in Week 19 but possibly someone who deserves a roster spot going forward.
