Corey Dickerson Homers In First Phillies Start
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Corey Dickerson went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in his first start with the Phillies on Sunday. Dickerson had an RBI single in the fifth inning a two-run homer in the ninth inning to cut the White Sox lead to five. Dickerson is now batting .316 on the season with a .564 slugging percentage. He does have a .349 BABIP which feels high, but Dickerson did bat .300 last year with a more normal BABIP so what he's done this year isn't completely unsustainable. He's worth a look in deeper leagues, especially if he can settle into the leadoff spot in the Phillies' lineup.
