Jakobi Meyers Emerges As Early Favorite of Brady
5 years agoNew England Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers has emerged as an early favorite of Tom Brady, who's in dire need of a reliable target. With the Patriots receiving corps in shambles, there is a ton of opportunity for someone to emerge here and the upside is huge. Josh Gordon is still suspended, N'Keal Harry has disappointed, and Edelman is still recovering from the thumb injury. Meyers pulled in 14-of-18 camp targets in 11-on-11 drills and didn't drop a single pass. If you're a fan of College Football, you know the name Jakobi Meyers. He was overshadowed by Kelvin Harmon at NC State, but held his own with 92 catches and 1047 in just 12 games. If he can continue impressing and gets on the good side of Brady, Meyers could end up with an extremely productive season. Start considering Jakobi Meyers in the later rounds of drafts when WR wears thin.
