5 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera confirmed on Tuesday that quarterback Cam Newton nor linebacker Luke Kuechly will play in the team's preseason opener on Thursday on the road against the Chicago Bears. Both of the team's cornerstone players have had their share of dings and dents over the past couple of seasons, and the coaching staff obviously knows what they have in each. Newton remains a legit QB1 in most fantasy formats, while Kuechly is a beast in IDP fantasy leagues for his high rate of tackles. The presence of a healthy Kuechly also makes the Panthers DST a solid No. 2 option.--Daniel Dobish
