5 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (thumb) watched the beginning of practice on Wednesday, and he was also able to play catch with running back Rex Burkhead while using his right hand. He continues to wear a splint on his healing broken left thumb. He is on the mend and expected to be ready for the start of the regular season barring any setbacks. At this point he remains solidly in the mix for a spot as a WR2 in most fantasy formats, especially those rewarding points per reception (PPR).--Daniel Dobish
