5 years agoHouston Texans running back Taiwan Jones started the team's first preseason game, rushing for 28 yards on seven carries and bringing in his only target for 11 yards. The battle to be the third running back in Houston is wide open, and Jones getting the first crack at the starting lineup isn't a huge surprise, as reports out of camp have been positive. Most likely, Jones is part of a three-way battle with undrafted rookies Damarea Crockett and Karan Higdon to grab the final two spots at the position. Jones' ability to contribute on special teams should give him a good shot at making the team, though it would take injuries for him to find fantasy relevance.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
