Aaron Nola Takes Third Loss
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola allowed three runs on seven hits across five innings Thursday in San Francisco. Nola walked two and struck out three while taking his third loss of the season. Fantasy owners were likely expecting better from their ace in a great matchup, but can't be too disappointed as this was his first loss since June 21. In that time Nola has a 2.17 ERA and 10.3 strikeouts per nine while generating swinging strikes at an 11.6 percent rate. He's a must-start fantasy ace even in a tough matchup with the Cubs lined up next Wednesday.
