Consumers Energy 400 DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy NASCAR Lineup Picks

Palms are sweaty, knees are weak, and arms are heavy as NASCAR whips it back to Michigan for the Consumers Energy 400. Joey Logano is looking to keep his crown at this track after his victory in June, and will have to battle teammate and pole-sitter Brad Keselowski to do so. As the drama continues to pour in the dog days of summer for drivers, the fans are relishing this moment and want more as the season continues.

On Friday, Austin Dillon and Richard Childress Racing teammate Daniel Hemric posted some fast laps in qualifying at Michigan. The kicker for both Dillon and Hemric is they will have to start this race from the rear after a failed inspection. Each of their crew chiefs will be fined $25,000, and drivers and owners will have 10 points deducted from the standings. This makes RCR drivers a valuable play in DFS this week, and they should be watched closely throughout practice.

Things to watch for on Sunday will be feuding on the track after last week's drama at Watkins Glen. Kyle Busch has beef with William Byron (or the other way around), Bubba Wallace has beef with Kyle Busch, and Jimmie Johnson isn't speaking too kindly about Ryan Blaney (and vice versa). With the emotion in play, I'm tempted to stay away from these guys this weekend in the event they get tangled up, but if I had to play one of these guys it would be Jimmie Johnson.

DFS Lineup Picks - DraftKings, FanDuel

Brad Keselowski #2 (DraftKings $10,700 | FanDuel $12,500)

Kes, K Dog, Brad K, and Bad Brad are some commonly used slag names for Keselowski, but pole-sitter is the one he likes best. Keselowski snagged the pole on Friday with a speed of 190.471, and was an absolute speed show. We all saw what Logano did back in June, and Team Penske has what it takes to pull a repeat with another driver in Michigan.

Kyle Larson #42 (DraftKings $8,300 | FanDuel $10,200 )

I absolutely couldn't pass up Larson this week with his price on DraftKings, and his qualifying position. Larson qualified 17th with a speed of 187.573, and has the speed to put himself inside the Top 5. During 2016 and 2017, Larson pulled off a 3 peat victory at this track, and fans are ready to see that type of Larson again.

Austin Dillon #3 (DraftKings $7,100 | FanDuel $7,200)

Dillon isn't the type of driver you play a lot in DFS, but this week it's almost impossible to pass him up. After failing inspection with an alternator infraction, Dillon was dropped back to 37th after qualifying seventh on Friday. Dillon's best recent finish at this track was in 2018 when he finished fourth after starting in P5.

Martin Truex Jr. #20 (DraftKings $11,300 | FanDuel $14,000)

Truex Jr. was posing hard in a recent Instagram post by Joe Gibbs Racing (I had to meme it and you can see it here) wearing a tuxedo racing suit. It's the ultimate business in the front, party in the back type look, and I see Truex Jr. having himself a nice party towards the back on Sunday. Truex Jr. qualified 15th with a speed of 187.911 on Friday, and should be able to continue his great fantasy production at this track after holding an average of 58.50 FPTS since 2017.
