ANALYSIS: Oakland A's outfielder Mark Canha is quietly having an outstanding season. He's sporting a .255/.381/.514 slash line with 17 home runs, 50 runs scored, 34 RBI, two stolen bases and a 135 wRC+.
He's always flashed plus power in the big leagues, but hasn't gotten to show what he can do with full-season at-bats. That is changing this year, and he seems like a lock to reach the 25 home run plateau, and could push 30 with a strong rest of the season.
His hard hit rate and exit velocity are remarkably average however, so there is some potential for regression. For now though, while he is batting cleanup and starting every game, Canha is a solid add in 14+ team leagues.
He is an even better add in OBP leagues, where his 13.4% walk rate plays up a ton and makes him rosterable in 12+ team leagues.
