Denny Hamlin Settles For Runner-Up Finish In Michigan
5 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin registered a second-place finish at the Consumers Energy 400 at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday. He started 14th and scooted all the way up to second, leading four laps along the way while picking up 44 points in the standings. Hamlin, who kicked off the season with a win at the Daytona 500, has been running hot lately. Sunday marked his fifth consecutive top-5 finish, and Sunday's runner-up was his second in the past four outings which also includes a win at Pocono. Next up is Bristol, where he was fifth back on April 7 in the Food City 500.
