5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Matt Albers earned his fourth save of the season Wednesday despite walking the bases loaded. Albers walked three of the five batters he faced but escaped the jam to preserve a 6-5 win for the Brewers. Josh Hader has allowed runs in five of his last six appearances including three blown saves so Albers was given an opportunity and just barely converted it. Albers has a 3.86 ERA on the season, but a 24.3 percent strikeout rate and a walk rate near nine percent are a little high for a closer. Ultimately the Brewers would like to get Hader right so Albers' value is limited to the deepest roto leagues and formats that value holds.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
