5 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus went 4-for-5 with two RBI and two stolen bases Wednesday afternoon in Toronto. The two steals give Andrus 25 on the season, good for fifth in the Majors, to go along with a .285 batting average and 57 runs in 108 games. Andrus only had three hits in his previous 23 plate appearances so the 30-year-old shortstop needed a game like this. His 38.9 percent hard-hit rate is a career-high and he doesn't strike out much at only 15.1 percent so things should continue to trend upwards for him. He'll hope to carry the momentum from this game into a weekend series against the Twins.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
