Roman Quinn Homers, Leaves With Injury
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn hit his fourth home run of the season Friday night against the Padres. It was the only hit in four tries for Quinn who was given the chance to bat leadoff for the second time this season. Quinn appeared to tweak something running to first in the eighth but if healthy Quinn is an interesting add in deeper leagues. Don't be fooled by Quinn's .213 batting average, the switch hitter has been hitting the cover off the ball lately with a .340 batting average since July 21. He upped his hard-hit rate from 23 percent in the first half to 37 percent in the second and has eight stolen bases without getting caught in 43 games. Consider Quinn day-to-day for now, but if he's in the lineup he's a good hot-hand play in fantasy.
