Sonny Gray Dominates Padres On Tuesday
5 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray turned in an excellent start in a 3-2 win over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. Gray spun six innings of one-run ball while striking out 10 and walking three. The veteran hurler saw his impressive 23-inning scoreless streak come to an end in the sixth inning when Josh Naylor hit a solo homer but he still emerged with the win. The outing also marked Gray's second consecutive start with exactly 10 strikeouts. This season, Gray has regained the form he showed as an Oakland Athletic, posting a 9-6 record, 2.92 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 164 strikeouts in 138 2/3 innings of work. Gray will be a no-brainer must-start in fantasy in his next outing, which comes on Monday against the Miami Marlins.
