Homer Bailey Shuts Down Yankees On Tuesday
5 years agoOakland Athletics starter Homer Bailey allowed one run on seven hits across 5 2/3 innings of work during Tuesday's 6-2 win over the New York Yankees. He struck out eight batters without issuing a walk. Bailey has allowed one run across his past two starts, tallying 15 strikeouts in the process. The 33-year-old now has an 11-8 record on the season to go along with a 5.06 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 116/47 K/BB rate. He is expected to face the Kansas City Royals in his next projected start, which is a preferable matchup for the right-hander.
