Ryan Fitzpatrick Finally Leads a Touchdown Drive
5 years agoComing back out for the second half after struggling terribly in the first, Miami quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw his first touchdown of the season Thursday night against a Jaguars defense mostly bereft of starters. The presumed favorite for the starting job over Josh Rosen, Fitzpatrick may have looked impressive in his touchdown drive, going 7-7 for 83 yards and a touchdown but the offense was totally anemic in the first half, running only nine plays in their first three drives with negative-one yards of offense. Even if named the eventual starter, Fitzpatrick won't be of much use in single-quarterback leagues barring sudden resurgence in his ability to get throw the ball down the field.
