Leonard Fournette Plays Well Against Dolphins
5 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette saw his first snaps of the preseason in Thursday's loss to the Miami Dolphins. Fournette carried the ball seven times for 27 yards and also added two receptions for 19 yards. He was targeted three times. Fournette is the best pass-catching back on the Jaguars' roster, and Thursday seemed to find the team testing to see if that'll be a workable position to be in or if they'll need to add a third-down back. Fournette did fine in the role, though, and for right now we can pencil him in as a three-down back. A healthy Fournette has the upside to finish as an RB1.
