Welcome to the Saturday, August 24th edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.

Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.

In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on August 24th. Enjoy them. • If you have 30HR, 15SB, .290AVG in your bat, you’re a 1st round pick: Juan Soto
• How about a 20HR, 30SB, .275 guy? Jonathan Villar
• You’re thinking the Nats fixed Anibal Sanchez? 3.81ERA(4.20FIP). Yeah, I’d stream vs MIA next.
• Ever notice that when all Cubs are silent, Nicholas Castellanos is still making noise. 8HR, 18RBI, ..384 since arrival.

• How many hated Mark Melancon? Fifth save. Get them where you can. Don’t be picky.
• Be overjoyed w/fifth or sixth pick in 2020 drafts. Mookie Betts or Francisco Lindor will fall to you. Blessings.
• What is Zach Plesac really? 3.40ERA(5.14FIP) 9.6%K-BB. Hmmm.
• Zack Greinke smiles toward another W(14). One of my top picks in 2020.
• Yuli Gurriel will never relinquish his position at this pace (26HR).
• Keston Hiura mashes & will rocket up drafts in 2020.
• Jose Berrios loses to the Tigers? He’s not ready to be an ace, I guess.
• Miguel Sano would be a deep sleeper in 2020 if he went to sleep already. 25 taters.
