Michael Brantley Extends Hitting Streak to 17 Games
5 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Michael Brantley didn't take long to push his season-high hitting streak to 17 games, hitting a two-run home run in the first inning of Houston's 5-2 victory over the Angels on Saturday. During the streak, Brantley is slashing .463/.507/.731 over 73 plate appearances with a .509 wOBA and 230 wRC+. He also now has a league-leading .337 AVG on the year, as well as 19 HR, 80 RBI, and 80 runs scored. Having arguably the best year of his career, Brantley has hit himself into the top-30 in fantasy and just continues to rise.
