Zach Eflin Pitches Well Saturday
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin allowed two runs in six innings while earning his eighth win of the season Saturday in Miami. Eflin scattered six hits and didn't walk a batter but only struck out two on the evening. It was a nice bounce-back effort for Eflin who was only making his second start since being moved back into the rotation, but he's not someone who needs to be owned in standard size leagues. His xFIP is at 4.83 and he strikes out less than 7.5 batters per nine innings which limits his upside even when he does pitch well. He'll have streaming appeal in starts like this one with a good matchup but most of his fantasy value is in deep leagues or NL-Only.
