6 years agoHouston Astros starter Justin Verlander will take the mound on Tuesday hoping to shake loose from a rare loss last week against the Tigers. Verlander (15-5) has been on quite a roll over his last seven starts, posting a 2.15 ERA with a 0.78 WHIP and an eye-popping 79 strikeouts over his last 46 innings. The veteran continues to be one of the best pitchers in the game and is holding opponents to a .167 batting average at Minute Maid Park this season. Verlander will serve up the occasional long-ball but he is as sure of a fantasy bet as there is right now.--Joey C - RotoBaller
